Do not include baby photographs of the child in your student’s portfolio, where he is in a stroller, with a pacifier, and the like. It is clear that they are dear to you, but remember that this is the portfolio of a small schoolchild, but already an adult. Leave your very childhood photographs for your home archive.

Allow your child to do some simple operations, put stars, leaves, circles, change the background on the pages of the portfolio, everything that you can show him, and he is able to do.

When writing text for photographs, ask your child what to write. A first grader can formulate what he would like to see in his portfolio. In this case, the portfolio will still look not like the work of an adult, but the work of a child.

Be sure to add the My Goals, My Dreams section to your portfolio, or combine My Goals and Dreams for example. Let's get acquainted: in this section of the portfolio it is necessary to place a close-up photograph of the child, preferably in a business suit, write his last name and first name, birthday, place of residence, the history of his name (optional).

Preparing for school- my kindergarten: in this section of the student’s portfolio it is worth remembering the teachers of the kindergarten where your child attended preschool education. They certainly made a significant contribution to your children. The feeling of gratitude needs to be instilled from childhood.

My first class: all parents have photographs of first-graders on their first line, first bell. In this section of the portfolio you can place a photo of this event and definitely photos of the first teacher. Naturally, all photographs must be signed. Post some text, consult with your child. Unfortunately, schoolchildren’s diaries are full of either unflattering remarks like “Not ready for the lesson!”, or unreflective praise like “Well done!” What if instead of the same “Well done!” give a little feedback in your portfolio? I prepared the wall newspaper myself, and involved my comrades in the design.”

I think it’s important to add a feedback sheet, as well as a form - a blank template where teachers can express their recommendations and wishes, for example, based on the results of the school year.

SECTION “WORKS THAT I AM PROUD OF”

At the beginning of the new academic year, it is necessary to carefully study the portfolio and analyze the material collected in it. When moving to a senior class, the contents of all sections must be completely updated.

The portfolio template consists of 42 pages. Of course, you can fill out all the pages that are included in the portfolio, but this is a lot. We create universal templates from a variety of pages. Page “My city”, “My village”, “My little homeland”. It can be called differently, depending on where you live.

What do we write on this page? Of course, all the most interesting things about your city, town, region. Historical facts, interesting stories that happened in your city, everything that your favorite city or town is famous for. If you don’t know how to write, then don’t be shy, you can always find a lot of information on the Internet!
It is possible that you yourself will learn a lot of new things about your city!
And of course, on this page you need to place photographs of all or only the most beautiful places in your city.

• My friends

"My Friends" page. One of the most interesting portfolio pages. Place photos of cheerful children playing on this page. if there are a lot of friends, then you can simply limit yourself to writing the First and Last Names of the children. Well, if there is space on the page, then be sure to write interesting stories about how children met or some joint adventures. Children quickly forget such events, and after reading this story in a couple of years, the child will seem to live it again.

• My hobbies

On the “My Hobbies” page, write a short story about what your child is interested in. Here you can write about classes in the sports section, studying at a music school or other educational institutions of additional education. And photographs, the more the better.
