In addition, previously 330 people were enrolled in the budget - these are persons permanently residing in Crimea, as well as those admitted for targeted admission and with special rights. At the same time, 250 more budget-funded places remain vacant in full-time studies at KubSU for those applying for admission at the second stage (August 8). It is worth noting that the admission campaign of the current year in comparison with the past is different in that the passing scores for all faculties have increased significantly, reports KrasnodarMedia news agency with reference to the press service at KubSU

The highest rates for admission are at the Faculty of Law ("Jurisprudence" - 272 points, "Legal Support of National Security" - 254), the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology ("Pedagogical Education" - 267 points, "Translation and Translation Studies" - 257 points, " linguistics" - 252 points), the Faculty of History, Sociology and International Relations ("International Relations" - 260 points, "Foreign Regional Studies" - 255 points) and the Faculty of Economics ("Economic Security" - 258 points, "Economics" - 250 points) .

Let us remind you that Kuban State University, according to the annual ranking of the Higher School of Economics, ranks 8th in the country among classical universities based on the average Unified State Examination score of those admitted to the university in 2015. According to this indicator, it is ahead of all classical universities in the South of Russia, including SFU.

For those who do not have such high scores, there is the opportunity to enroll in places under contracts (with payment of tuition fees). By the way, KubSU not only has the largest number of budget places in the region for admission to the first year, but also contract places.

In the south of Russia there is one of the best institutions of higher education - Kuban State University (KubSU). This is a university with rich experience in training, excellent material and technical base, and solid scientific potential. And these are not just words. Several years ago the university was awarded the “European Quality” gold medal. She confirmed that the university has indeed achieved high results in its activities.

Where it all started

KubSU today is an educational organization in Krasnodar with more than 29 thousand students. The history of this university began with the opening of a small educational institution in 1920 - the Institute of Public Education. It was created for the purpose of training teachers.

The Institute of Public Education is not the only name that Kuban State University (KubSU) bore in the past. Renamed several times:

  • in 1924 the university became a higher pedagogical institute;
  • in 1931 - Pedagogical Agronomic Institute;
  • in 1933 - the State Teachers' and Pedagogical Institute;
  • in the late 40s - the State Pedagogical Institute;
  • in 1970 - a state university.

School ratings

Every year in the history of Kuban State University is a step forward. Over the period of its existence, KubSU has transformed from a small pedagogical university into a large classical higher education institution, and has become a scientific and educational complex recognized in the country and the world. Such a high status of the university is confirmed by its ratings.

One of the ratings, indicating the achievements of the university and the provision of quality education, was compiled in 2009. The ReitOR agency assessed a huge number of educational institutions in Russia and other countries. In our country, the university entered the top ten, and among world universities it took 314th place.

In 2014, KubSU entered another ranking of higher educational institutions in Russia and the CIS countries. It was compiled by the rating agency Expert Ra. During the assessment, it was included in the list of the best educational organizations. It was assigned the rating class “E”, which indicated a sufficient level of graduate training.

The first feature of KubSU: pre-university preparation

An important feature of Kuban State University (KubSU) is the implementation of pre-university training. It is handled by a specially created structural unit - the Institute of General Additional Education and Test Technologies. It was opened at the university in order to help applicants prepare for exams and develop their creative abilities. The Institute of General Additional Education and Test Technologies unites more than 20 small divisions. Each of them is responsible for the implementation of specific general education and general development programs.

It is important to note that the university offers pre-university preparation not only in the form of courses, which may seem boring to many applicants. An example of an unusual form of education is related to the organization of summer holidays for children. In the summer of 2016, university teachers went to a camp in which they thought of an interesting and educational pastime for schoolchildren. Children were offered sports and creative competitions. Additionally, schoolchildren were trained in general developmental programs with a specialized focus and in programs providing for in-depth study of school subjects.

The second feature of the university: the availability of vocational education programs

Many applicants, when entering Kuban State University (KubSU), think that only higher professional education programs are offered here. This opinion is wrong. KubSU additionally trains mid-level personnel for various areas of modern life, which means that the university has a variety of secondary vocational education programs.

The specialties offered are related to tourism, restaurant business, design, advertising, pharmacy, economics and law. Among all the programs, “Beekeeping” is especially worth highlighting. This is a unique specialty, because in the region only Kuban State University offers it. Other educational institutions do not provide this type of training.

Divisions in the structure of KubSU

Students about studying at KubSU

People express different opinions about studying at Kuban State University. There are those students who write positive reviews. In them, students point out such advantages of the educational organization as highly qualified teaching staff, the presence of a rich library with a huge number of books and magazines.

Some students speak negatively about the university. Corruption forces them to leave bad reviews about Kuban State University (KubSU). Those who complain about the financial incentives of teachers claim that students with low levels of knowledge pay university staff and in return receive good grades.

Students' opinions on extracurricular life at the university

KubSU students say that the university offers interesting options for spending time in their free time from studying. The educational institution has 7 creative teams and clubs. There is also a chess club. In it, students prepare for all-Russian and international competitions and individual championships.

Kuban State University, according to students, has everything necessary to lead a healthy lifestyle. The university has created a training complex, equipped a new football field with artificial turf and a mini-football field. Those wishing to go swimming are offered a swimming pool, on the basis of which the AquaCub sports and recreation complex has been created.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that KubSU is sometimes confused with another university - the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. These are completely different educational institutions. KubSU does not specialize in producing personnel for a specific field. The university graduates specialists for various spheres of life, from economists and managers to teachers and designers.
