Psycho-emotional balance. If you are already overloaded with tasks and assignments, do not hesitate to refuse help

Every person needs psycho-emotional balance in order to be, first of all, in harmony with himself and to feel good. Achieving such a balance is quite difficult, because nowadays people are constantly exposed to stress and nervous disorders. Conflicts with other people are almost inevitable for every person. Spiritual balance resembles a light boat floating between reefs and rocks on the waves.

Most of us dream of being absolutely satisfied with ourselves, achieving harmony and tranquility, without feeling hostility towards others. This is not such an unattainable desire. In order to maintain your psycho-emotional balance, you should listen to some advice.

Never be afraid to share or give something with someone. If you are having a really hard time, you should tell a close friend about your problems. But if your loved ones have problems, then it’s worth supporting them. It is impossible to help everyone, but if each of us can look back and help at least one person, then the world around us will become more beautiful.

It is necessary to forgive people for their mistakes and not insist. After all, you must agree that we expect something from those around us. If we cannot get what we want, we often get upset and even hold a grudge in our hearts. But you must learn to forgive others and not expect more from them than they can offer you. This is the most basic rule in order to find peace of mind. You must forgive, first of all, for yourself, and not for the person who caused you some kind of trouble.

Often we are sure that our sadness and bad mood are a consequence of the circumstances that develop around us. According to the majority, the cause of all troubles lies in the world around us. But, you must admit that there won’t be enough emotions if you get upset about everything. If luck has turned its back on us today, then tomorrow it will definitely turn to face you. The most important thing to remember is that no external circumstances should become a reason to disturb your balance and peace of mind.

This often happens: a person is sure that if something doesn’t work out today, then there’s nothing much to expect in the future. Such a pessimistic mood will not be able to maintain your psycho-emotional balance. Pessimism never justifies itself, since such a view of the world around us is absolutely erroneous in almost every case.

If you have the feeling that you are trapped, you should make every effort to get rid of these thoughts. None of us are victims of circumstances and life. In any situation, it is worth finding the positive side and appreciating it.

Try never to judge your friends, acquaintances and colleagues. If you find out something about them that you don't like very much, this is not a reason to think badly about them. Don’t judge the person at your next meeting, even if something doesn’t suit you. Try to do this for at least one day and you will notice that very often people judge others, almost without noticing it.

The most important thing is to live for today!

EMOTIONAL BALANCE - what is it?

One of the most important needs of modern people is emotional balance:

How can we learn to recognize and express our emotions, reconcile conflicting feelings, avoid accumulating stress, and act more accurately and effectively at work, at home and in all life situations that challenge us every day?

There are many recipes, but I really like the story about the father of the great Russian mystic George Gurdjieff.

Shortly before his death, he asked his son to make him one promise:

when he gets really angry or offended by someone, let him wait 24 hours before responding.

The point is that during these hours the situation will have time to undergo “processing” in the soul and will not provoke a hasty or inappropriate reaction, which the person will later bitterly regret.

This wisdom has helped me many times in different situations - after all, in life we so often blindly take out emotions on each other, thereby causing deep harm to relationships with the people around us.

My experience confirms that many problems of our physical body begin at the level of the energetic or psychic internal body.

For 30 years I have studied and practiced a number of healing modalities. One of them is deep work with the body and relieving tension from the back and neck.

Many people come with both recent and long-standing problems. I can help them by working through and releasing blocks, congestion, pain or stiffness in the back.

It is only important to clearly discern at the very beginning what kind of help or therapy is required for a particular person at a given point in time.

The work I do is completely new to many people and gives them the opportunity to experience a dimension not usually involved in medical practice.

A lot of everything is released from our inner space, these places are filled with light and new energies. The previous structure of the field disappears.

Sometimes you should balance and harmonize, put things in order, so to speak, in your space. Build a new structure that is in tune with current changes and ground yourself.

Then such holes-portals will not appear in our field, creating tension in the body.

Your mind and passion are the rudder and sails of your soul sailing on the sea. If your sails are torn or your rudder is broken, you can only rush through the waves and float with the current or stand motionless on the open sea.

For reason, which alone rules, is a limiting force; and one passion is a flame that burns itself. Only the internal balance of forces gives stability in any weather outside.

Limits that will make your life easier

It is generally accepted that any restrictions are designed to complicate our existence, since they deprive us of precious freedom.

But there are exceptions to every rule.

Limits that make life easier.

Here are the limits that will make your life easier:

1) Time limit for solving problems

When something bothers you, instead of being nervous and worried, immediately determine for yourself how much time you will need to solve this problem.

Firstly, a clearly established deadline will not allow you to sit idly by, and secondly, the realization that after some time the situation will become clearer will inspire you with optimism.

2) Limit of obligations

Learn to say no. You are just a person, not a robot, and you cannot help everyone around you. Don't take on too much. Know your limit.

If you are already overloaded with tasks and assignments, do not hesitate to refuse help. Enjoy life and don't let anyone get on your neck.

3) Significance limit

What matters most in your life? What's the least?

Often people worry about little things without realizing it. If you clearly know what matters to you and what is far beyond the limit, you will not waste your nerves in vain.

4) Time limit for making decisions

How often do you torment yourself with long doubts when making decisions? To call or not to call? Order meat or fish? Should I buy tickets for horror or comedy?

Go on vacation to the mountains or to the sea?

The longer you think about your choice, the more you confuse yourself. The next time you feel like you can't make up your mind, promise yourself to make a decision within the next five minutes.

Once you learn to make decisions quickly, you will get rid of a lot of anxiety and worry.

5) Time limit for solving problems

Why do most people like to put off solving problems until the last minute?

In most cases, laziness is to blame. But if you promise yourself that you will devote no more than an hour or two to a particular task today, it will become much easier to start working on it.

6) Verification limit

Determine for yourself how many times a day you will check your email, messages on social networks, comments, replies on forums, etc.

For example, promise yourself to do this no more than three times a day and you will see how much free time and space you have in your head.

After all, without noticing it, all day long your thoughts return again and again to the information junk that has accumulated on numerous resources where you are registered.

People, as a rule, do not realize how many diseases arise from a lack of emotional balance. For example, approximately 7 million Americans take medications for back pain every day. Dr. John Sarno of the Rehabilitation Medical Institute in New York City estimates that emotions, tension, anxiety, and depression account for at least 80% of back problems. In the preface to his book, which is called "None of these diseases" Dr. S. McMillen, well acquainted with the facts, writes:

"Medicine recognizes that emotions such as fear, sadness, envy, resentment and hatred are responsible for most of our diseases. Estimates range from 60 to almost 100%. Emotional arousal can cause high blood pressure, toxic goiter, headaches , arthritis, apoplexy, heart disease, gastrointestinal ulcers and many other diseases. As doctors, we can prescribe drugs for the symptoms of these diseases, but we can do little against the underlying cause - emotional agitation."

This is where Christianity comes to the rescue. God can change a person completely and help him overcome his harmful emotions. It is easy to imagine how such a change could contribute to the well-being of a true Christian. Let's look at a few emotions that can be harmful to your health so you can learn how to deal with them.

Anger is high on the list of harmful emotions. Hatred, opposition And resentment - all these emotions are condemned in God's Word. How to fight them? With love. We love God. We love our families. We love our brothers and sisters in Christ. Love is beautiful and is God's commandment. The fact is that loving one another is the hallmark of disciples of Jesus Christ. “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love one another” (John 13:35). However, our love should not stop there. We are commanded that we must love even our enemies. Jesus Christ set an example of such love when He prayed for those who nailed Him. We must be so filled with God's love that it is impossible for us to hate anyone. This will have a very positive impact on our lives!

Fear, anxiety and insecurity create tension that causes great harm to our physical well-being. The Christian can overcome all this. Time after time, God's Word tells us: “Do not be afraid!” Even in the presence of death, the Lord said to one father who was in great sorrow and confusion: “Do not fear, only believe” (Mark 5:36). He who said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me,” also promised, “Behold, I with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matt. 28:18, 20). Not only does Jesus have all authority and is always with us, but He is also concerned about our well-being. He cares for us (1 Pet. 5:7) The most secure place in all the world is in the center of God's will. The Psalmist declares: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth shake and the mountains move into the heart of the seas" (Ps. 46:2, 3). Let us say with David: "The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I fear?" (Psalm 26:1). Always remember that: "In love there is no fear, but perfect love casts out fear" (1 John 4:18*). safe, under the protection of God's hand, free from fear and anxiety, the Christian should enjoy the blessing of good health.

Psychologists and psychiatrists agree that it is very important for a young child to know that someone truly loves him. If he feels rejected or unwanted, this can cause serious problems in his health and also negatively affect his personality development. Adults also need to know that someone loves them. One rich man who lived alone said, “I would give anything to have someone there to worry about me when I get home late from work.” Loneliness, a feeling of rejection, the feeling that no one loves you - all this can cause depression, despondency and even loss of health. Being in this state, a person often thinks about suicide. Thank God, Christians can always be sure that they have a friend near them who is closer than a brother (Prov. 18:24). He loves us very sincerely, as evidenced by His sacrifice. God loves us because it is His nature to do so, just as a rose gives off its fragrance simply because it is a rose. Due to the fact that His love does not depend on how much a person deserves it, it is constant and eternal. The Lord says: “I have loved you with everlasting love, and therefore have shown favor to you” (Jer. 31:3). If we know that God truly loves us, we will be freed from the fear and uncertainty that plagues many people today.

A very wise man once said, “A merry heart does good as medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones” (Prov. 17:22). Happiness is of great importance for our health and our well-being in general, but how few people seem truly happy! How many joyful faces do you see on the streets of the city? True joy is the fruit of the Spirit as listed in Galatians (5:22). Romans 14:17 speaks of “joy in the Holy Spirit.” In his letter to the believers of the Philippian church, Paul exhorts them with the following words: “Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, rejoice” (Phil. 4:4). We may not be able to rejoice always due to different circumstances, but we can always rejoice in the Lord. One great leader of the Jewish people, who returned from Babylonian captivity, told his people that they should not grieve, but rejoice, because “the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Neh. 8:10). It is very difficult for the devil to tempt a Christian who feels completely happy. How can you captivate a person who is happy with everything and enjoys everything? Joy is a very healthy emotion.

Mental health, according to some doctors, covers physical, social, cultural, spiritual health, as well as all other aspects of health. It is very important that the communication center, which directs all the actions of the body, is kept in good condition. The Christian has a promise, which is that: “...the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:7). Of course, in order to have this world, certain conditions must be met, which are real. Firstly, we need to have peace with God - only in this case we will be able to feel inside ourselves God's peace. When Jesus Christ was ready to leave this world, the gift He left for His followers was peace. He said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give it to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Controlling thoughts is perhaps the most difficult task that faces a Christian. Since thoughts produce actions, we must make every effort to control our thoughts and not indulge in harmful thoughts. We must not forget that a person cannot get rid of the thoughts that overwhelm him by simply saying: “I won’t think about...”. He must fill his mind with other thoughts. In this regard, the Apostle Paul gives us a list of things in Philippians (4:8) that we should think about. This Bible verse says: “Finally, my brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if there is any excellence, whatever is worthy of praise, think about these things.”

When a famous Christian was asked what was the secret of his life of spiritual victory and blessing, he replied that he made Jesus Christ the refuge of his thoughts. We often have to go to work, then to school or somewhere else, but when we are free, we return to our home. When our brain is freed from various kinds of tasks, it must return to its home - to Jesus Christ.

This is a very effective complex that allows you to gain psychological balance in just 7 days!

Psychological balance in 7 days!

These breathing practices are perfect for...

Use breathing practices when life seems hard, or when you have used up all your internal resources. They will help you restore psychological balance and health.

Day one - "Urock breath"

The goal for today is to master the breathing technique that will be most effective for relaxation. Belly breathing allows maximum oxygen flow into the body through the diaphragm rather than the chest.

1. First you need to sit up straight or lie down, keeping your back straight.

2. Hands should be placed 2-3 centimeters below the waist, fingers placed on the stomach below the last rib.

3. Now you need to take a few breaths and exhales, feeling the abdominal muscles.

4. Hold your breath for 5 seconds while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat the exercise several times.

5. After this, you should rest for about 30 seconds.

6. Then you need to close your eyes and put your hands on your stomach.

7. Taking a deep breath, feel your stomach rise. As you exhale, feel your stomach become softer. Inhalation and exhalation should be smooth.

8. You should breathe like this for several minutes, then you can rest.

Practice belly breathing several times a day for the entire week of classes. Then use this breath at any time to relieve fatigue.

Day two: “Cleansing”

To relieve stress and gain psychological balance, you need to learn meditation techniques in which you can focus on your inner self. To do this, you need to master the breathing practice of “cleansing”. It will clear the brain of destructive thoughts and emotions.

Before practice, you should take a shower, or, as a last resort, wash your face, hands and feet. Then you need to put on freshly washed, soft, comfortable clothes.

1. First you should repeat the exercise of the first day.

2. When a state of complete relaxation has been achieved, you need to sit with your back straight and continue to focus on your breathing.

3. It is important to constantly feel how the air flow millimeter by millimeter fills the body.

4. Inhale as quietly and slowly as possible. Inhale even more slowly. Take a short pause between each inhalation and exhalation. Focusing on your breathing will help you get rid of unnecessary thoughts, impressions or physical sensations. Thoughts also flow slowly.

5. Now you need to close your eyes and focus on the feeling of purity and emptiness. Imagining a snowy plain or a screen illuminated with soft white light can help with this. Hold this feeling for several minutes.

Day three: “Achieving psychological balance”

After mastering breathing and cleansing, you can move on to the essential work of achieving psychological balance - balancing the body and brain. To achieve this goal, an exercise taken from Aikido is used.

“Stand up straight, place your feet shoulder-width apart so that it is comfortable. With your left palm, touch your stomach 2-3 centimeters below the navel - this is the physical center of your body. Move your hand counterclockwise around the area for about a minute. Focus on this place and feel it.”

(Pause 30 sec.)

“Now focus on your breathing. Imagine your inhalation as a rolling ball of radiant energy moving from your mouth through your chest into your abdominal cavity. Let it descend to the physical center. With each breath, the ball grows, filling the entire stomach. Feel the breath filling your belly, radiating warmth and stability.”

(Pause 10 sec.)

“Now release tension by shaking your arms in front of you, keeping your waist relaxed. Continue until your entire body vibrates. As you exhale, say intensely: “A-A-AH” so that you feel the vibration in your own voice and the resonance in your chest.”

(Pause 30 sec.)

“Now lower your bent arms in front of you, then slowly raise them, as if floating in warm salt water. As your arms rise, relax your knees as if you were in a warm salty sea. Feel your buoyancy. Make a ball of sand with your hands and push it through the layer of water.

Now stand up straight again. Shake your arms again and lower them bent along your body. Close your eyes. Distribute your weight evenly across your right and left legs, between your shin and knee, moving your weight slowly back and forth and side to side, balancing like fine-tuning a radio station.

Your knees should be neither clenched nor bent: you are a cat, relaxed before jumping.

Now make sure your head is balanced. Let your lower jaw drop, relax your tongue, eyes, forehead, temples, scalp and back of the head.”

(Pause 30 sec.)

“Inhale sharply, lifting and tensing your shoulders. Exhale and lower them down under the pressure of the warm, soft chocolate. Feel how the chocolate slowly flows down your back, over your arms, over your palms. Feel how it penetrates the chest to the diaphragm, melting the internal organs.

Feel the chocolate flowing down your thighs, knees, legs. Feel how it warms the space under your feet, melting them into the Earth. Feel the heaviness enveloping you, the heaviness pulling you to the earth, and the earth to you.”

After finishing the recording, you need to do breathing techniques and cleansing exercises on the first and second days.

Day four: “Working with the subconscious”

Circular pictures - mandalas¹ - promote self-development and self-expression. In Tibetan Buddhism, people focus on mandalas as a point of meditation and concentration.

K.G. Jung had his patients draw mandalas to manifest subconscious complexes on the material plane. Many experts are of the opinion that the clear field of the mandala is a screen on which the subconscious mind projects our inner life.

Once you express your inner state in the mandala, a new state of balance will be achieved. Before performing this exercise, you need to repeat the breathing practice and cleansing.

Then you need to take a sheet of blank paper approximately 24*36 cm or larger so as not to feel cramped. Place a plate on the paper and trace it with a pencil or felt-tip pen. Then, using colored pencils or something similar, start drawing inside the circle. Draw without thinking.

Then immediately draw two more mandalas. Then look at them intently, without thinking about anything. Don't try to understand what they mean. The drawing process itself helped to find the way from the unconscious to you.

Day five: “Development of intuition”

Now that feelings have been brought into balance, you can turn to self-development, namely. On the fifth day, you will learn to sharpen your intuition, concentrate, and understand yourself.

Increased intuition will help you get rid of erroneous perceptions of the world.

First, you should do breathing practices to calm and cleanse. Then you need to choose a situation, person or event that you want to deal with.

You should imagine the selected sensation or image and focus completely on it. Stay alone with this image, maintain deep and relaxed connections and relationships with it for several minutes.

After repeating this technique, you will be more attuned to perceiving people, places, and things on a deep intuitive level.

Day six: “Dance in Zen style”

This technique harmonizes the brain and body, washes away “emotional debris” and opens up a new source of energy.

The following exercise combines two important factors: deep breathing, which provides energy and balance to each movement, and constant change, with which you can master internal psychological reserves.

1. You need to stand straight, feet shoulder-width apart. Hands should be placed on the physical center of the body.

2. Then you need to inhale and hold your breath, then exhale slowly. As you inhale and exhale, it is important to feel how your stomach tenses and relaxes.

3. After a few seconds, while exhaling, you need to move your left hand to the side and slowly say: “What-o-o.”

4. Then you should inhale, slowly returning your left hand to its place.

5. Repeat the same steps with your right hand, saying “Yes” as you exhale.

6. Finally, you should raise both hands and at the same time, while exhaling, say: “Me?”

These three words, known as a koan, not only signal your powers to find your inner self, but also help you relax, breathe smoothly, and clear your mind.

After the exercise, do some warm-up movements with your legs. Now you are ready to dance. Remember something delicious you recently ate and transform that feeling into movement. Breathe through your belly as you move. Think of your breath as the source of energy for movement.

As you move, feel the wonderful taste filling your entire body: arms, legs, palms, fingers and toes. Extraneous thoughts and worries should not disturb concentration, otherwise the body will react by disturbing the balance.

If you are out of balance, focus on breathing and movement. The sense of taste may disappear. When you feel empty, evoke that wonderful taste again and continue dancing. While dancing, ask yourself mentally: “Who is dancing? Where did this dance come from?

Close your eyes. Feel the power coming from the breath and the “rhythm” of taste. Dance, from yourself, the way your body wants.

Subsequently, during the dance, you can focus on feelings or incidents that bring sadness, misfortune, anger or joy. At this time, it is important to note how the breath relates to these feelings and the movement of the dance. While dancing, ask yourself: “Who is that angry?”

If you perform the Zen dance following the instructions, you will notice how soon anger and disappointment, which are of an illusory nature, will leave your life.

Day seven: “Run to the Sun”

The last exercise increases your inner balance through connection with the Cosmos. You need to start by finding a special place in nature that you love.

Any place where you can retire will do. Once you are in this place, take a closer look at the details of your surroundings. Try to notice as many details as possible. Then walk or jog depending on your inner state.

Look only at the ground, allowing your brain to rest.

After five minutes, when you are warm, turn your attention to your internal rhythms. Listen to your breathing and steps, notice how your breath and legs are powered by the same source of energy, moving in unison. Feel the rhythm of your heartbeat.

Move and look at the ground. But now, with your peripheral vision, take note of everything around you. After about 60 sec. take your eyes off the ground, open your eyes wide and take in the whole world. Look at the sky, the trees, the horizon, but don't focus on one thing, embrace the whole world.

As you move, feel how toxins, illnesses, fears, and melancholy leave your body with your breath. Imagine how they dissolve into the Universe while you breathe. You need to see every breath that enters you, not as air, but as energy from the most distant corner of the Milky Way.

Feel how you yourself radiate the energy received from the planets and stars. Feel connected to the Universe.

Emotional balance is an important trait of a successful person, and this quality can be trained. After all, emotions are a kind of reaction of the human psyche to emerging situations, and you can learn to control it. Emotional states can be various life situations, a person’s thoughts, and his memories. Depending on the character and temperament of a person, some emotions arise more often and others less often.

How to train emotional balance

Every person is capable of experiencing a large number of emotions of different colors and intensities. In order to get the maximum benefit, you need to be able to control them. The first thing a person must do on the path to control is to learn to be aware of their states. To do this, you need to start tracking each new feeling and determine which emotion it relates to.

What are the experiences like?

  • Positive (joy, delight, inspiration, sympathy, gratitude, anticipation and others).
  • Negative (anger, anger, resentment, fear, pity, annoyance, etc.).
  • Having an ambiguous connotation (excitement, passion, surprise, interest, etc.).

Many negative emotions are neurotic and harm the entire body. They often develop psychosomatic diseases that are difficult to treat. It is important to understand the mechanism by which such emotions arise; it is as follows: reality – expectation – their inconsistency.

It is subjective perception that forms emotion. That is, if everything happened according to the above scheme, first of all you should think about where this expectation came from and try to understand that the likelihood that reality will live up to expectations is by no means small.

How to achieve emotional balance: several ways to control emotions

There are various ways to help control emotions. Among them we can distinguish simpler and universal ones, which allow you to extinguish an unwanted emotion, and more complex ones, implying in-depth analysis:

Emotions do not come from the outside; they are created only by the person himself. You need to realize, accept and analyze your experiences. It is important to understand that a person is not obliged to react instantly, this is just a habit that can and should be gotten rid of. You can always take some time to think and decide how best to respond. So quickly begin to cultivate your emotional balance in any of the suggested ways.
