Short sayings by Yesenin. Poetry of the soul: a selection of quotes from the poems of Sergei Yesenin

Life is a deception with enchanting melancholy.

We need to live easier, we need to live more simply,
All accepting what is in the world.

art

In thunderstorms, in storms, in everyday shame,
During bereavements and when you feel sad,
Seem smiling and simple -
The highest art in the world.

Love

He who loved cannot love,
You can't set fire to someone who's burned out.

homeland

If the holy army shouts:
“Throw away Rus', live in paradise!”
I will say: “No need for paradise, give me my homeland.”

But I love you, gentle motherland!
And I can’t figure out why.
Your joy is short-lived
With a loud song in the spring in the meadow.

Russia

And the month will float and float,
Dropping oars across the lakes,
And Rus' will still live the same way,
Dance and cry at the fence.

But even then
When in the whole planet
The tribal enmity will pass,
Lies and sadness will disappear, -
I will chant
With the whole being in the poet
Sixth of the land
With a short name “Rus”.

happiness

Foolish heart, don't beat!
We are all deceived by happiness.

silence

You cried in the evening silence,
And bitter tears fell to the ground,
And it was hard and so sad for me.
And yet we did not understand each other.
You rushed off to distant lands,
And all dreams faded without color,
And again I was left alone again
To suffer in soul without affection and greetings.
And often in the evening I sometimes
I go to places of cherished rendezvous,
And I see your sweet image in my dreams,
And I hear sad sobs in the silence.

on other topics

May you be blessed forever,
What has come to flourish and die.

Dying is nothing new in this life,
But life, of course, is not newer.

Joy is given to the rude. Sadness is given to the tender.

If you touch the passions in a person,
Then, of course, you won’t find the truth.

To live is to live, to love is to fall in love.
Kiss and walk in moonlit gold.
If you want to worship the dead,
Then don’t poison the living with that dream.

And there is no wife or friend behind the grave.

If it burns, then it burns, burning.

You can't see face to face.
Big things can be seen from a distance.

Not everyone can sing
Not everyone has an apple
Fall at someone else's feet.

Why rot on the branches -
It's better to burn in the wind.

Know how to hate mortally, then you will learn to love... Live with your soul wide open- it’s like walking with your fly open. No guarantee is required from love,
With her they know joy and sorrow. I would forget the taverns forever, and I would give up writing poetry, just to subtly touch your hand and your hair the color of autumn. There's probably too much in me heat,
Since I always meet cold ones.
It seemed that everything had meaning for him, everything had meaning and was designed to awaken in us warmth and passion for what surrounds us. There is nothing better than love. And the author clearly showed this in his poems. Readers seem to be infected with a virus of tenderness and affection. Sergey Yesenin – great poet, representative of new peasant poetry and lyrics, more late works the poet belongs to imagism. Yesenin's poems are different in simple language, easy rhyme and variety of topics. We invite you to enjoy the poet’s work and read lines from his most famous lyrical works. Our selection contains quotes from Sergei Yesenin about love, life and, of course, nature.

Sergei Yesenin came from a peasant family. He began writing poems as a child. Radonitsa's first collection was published in 1916. Literally from the first poems, critics highly appreciated the work of the aspiring poet. The poet himself did not divide his work into any stages, but the naked eye can see that the first half of the 20s of the 20th century was the most productive in the poet’s work. During this period, such collections of Yesenin were published as Treryadnitsa, Confession of a Hooligan, Moscow Tavern, Poems, Sorokoust, Anna Snegina, Homeless Rus', Country of Scoundrels and others.

The central theme of the poet’s work is love for the Motherland; the poet himself has repeatedly spoken about this. The peculiarity of the poems is that Sergei Yesenin showed love for nature, love for native land and love for a woman from his deepest peasant soul. The inspiration for creativity was often nature and women. Yesenin's muses were A. Izryadnova, Z. Reich, A. Duncan, S. Tolstaya and Shagane.

Another feature of Sergei Yesenin’s work is the specific use of colors. Each of the colors was endowed with a certain semantic load, for example, blue The poet associates it with youth.

I don’t regret, I don’t call, I don’t cry,
Everything will pass like smoke from white apple trees.
Withered in gold, covered in gold,
I won't be young anymore.

Youth, alas, is gone forever.

If you touch the passions in a person,
Then, of course, you won’t find the truth.

The truth lies in calm and regularity.

Well, which of us is the biggest on deck?
Didn’t fall, vomit or swear?
There are few of them, with an experienced soul,
Who remained strong in pitching.

Life breaks many, but not many find the strength to rise and move forward.

I got into trouble with my heart in a funny way, I occupied my thoughts in a stupid way.

Real feelings are always funny.

Whom should I feel sorry for? After all, everyone in the world is a wanderer.
He will pass, come in and leave the house again.

People in this world are only guests, sooner or later they leave.

Joy is given to the rude. Sorrow is given to the tender.

There are many injustices in life.

In thunderstorms, in storms,
Into everyday shame,
In case of bereavement
And when you're sad
Seem smiling and simple -
The world's highest art

Keeping a smile on your face when your heart is hurting is an award-worthy art.

Face to face
You can't see the face.
Big things can be seen from a distance.

Distance opens your eyes to real values that are simply not noticed up close.

We don't live, but we yearn.

You need to live to rejoice, not to yearn.

There's something beautiful about summer
And with summer there is beauty in us.

To me, everything is beautiful in summer.

Time even crumbles stone.

No one and nothing can resist time.

But even then
When in the whole planet
The tribal feud will pass,
Lies and sadness will disappear,
I will chant
With the whole being in the poet
Sixth of the land
With a short name “Rus”.

You need to love and praise your land, wherever you are.

About love and life

We need to live easier, we need to live more simply,
All accepting what is in the world.

Whatever happens in life, you just need to be able to accept any event.

And I know we both will
Sadness in elastic silence:
For you I am in a deep fog,
And you will cry for me.

Lovers not only rejoice together, they are also sad at the same time, even when they are at a distance from each other.

Life... I cannot understand its purpose, and Christ also did not reveal the purpose of life. He only indicated how to live, but no one knows what can be achieved by this... Yes, but if it is a secret, then let it remain so. But we still need to know why we live... what is life for? Why live? All her petty dreams and aspirations are covered with a wreath of delusion, woven from rose hips. Is it really impossible to figure it out?

To truly live, you first need to have a meaning in life.

Don’t twist your smile, fiddling with your hands, -
I love someone else, just not you.
You yourself know, you know well -
I don’t see you, I didn’t come to you.
I passed by, my heart didn't care -
I just wanted to look out the window.

If it doesn't matter, then they just pass by.

Dying is nothing new in this life,
But life, of course, is not newer.

In this life, it is no longer so easy to surprise with something.

Life is a deception with enchanting melancholy.

Where there is life, there lives not only joy, but also melancholy.

To live is to live, to love is to fall in love.
Kiss and walk in moonlit gold.
If you want to worship the dead,
Then don’t poison the living with that dream.

If you live, then to the fullest, if you love, then from the heart!

No guarantee is required from love,
With her they know joy and sorrow.
“You are mine” only hands can say,
That they tore off the black veil.

Sometimes a touch can tell much more than simple words.

After all, you can’t stop loving,
How could you fail to love...

To fall out of love, you must first fall in love.

About nature

The village drowned in potholes,
The huts of the forest were obscured.
Only visible on the bumps and depressions,
How blue the skies are all around.

They don’t look at nature, they admire it.

About Rus' - raspberry field
And the blue that fell into the river -
I love you to the point of joy and pain
Your lake melancholy.
Flowers tell me goodbye
Heads bowing lower,
What I won't see forever
Her face and her father's land.
The golden grove dissuaded
Birch, cheerful language,
And the cranes, sadly flying,
They don’t regret anyone anymore.

Love for a woman can pass, but love for the Motherland never does.

The snowball is fluttering, spinning,
It's white outside.
And puddles turned
In cold glass.
Where the finches sang in summer,
Today - look! —
Like pink apples
There are bullfinches on the branches.
The snow is cut up by skis,
Like chalk, creaky and dry,
And the red cat catches
Cheerful white flies.

Winter is like a fairy tale.

The silver river flows quietly
In the kingdom of evening green spring.
The sun sets behind the forested mountains.
A golden horn emerges from the moon.
