Teachers with results corresponding to a level “below basic” should be treated with special attention. Does such a teacher have enough knowledge of the subject?

If a teacher, after receiving a result corresponding to the basic level, really wants to work in a school, he will actively improve his qualifications, come to the Center for diagnostics again and demonstrate a high result. The resulting list of controlled content elements checked during diagnostics can help him with this.

Teachers of Moscow schools today have every opportunity for continuous professional improvement and achieving a high level. This level will certainly be of interest to many employers.

The presence of teachers who have reached an expert level in an educational organization is necessary to increase its competitiveness and form an expert community.

At the same time, it is necessary to take into account that students of pre-professional classes work closely with teachers from specialized universities. They compare the level of subject knowledge of their school teacher with the level of knowledge of teachers working in research laboratories. Important preparation points

  1. As I already mentioned, participate as much as possible in various competitions that you can do, both as a teacher and with your students. However, if competitions are not your thing, then choose a few of the most worthy ones (all-Russian or regional level) and invest in them to the maximum to get a good result (1,2 or 3rd place).
  2. Try to publish your methodological developments for classes, event scenarios, some of your thoughts and conclusions about working with children and their upbringing. I have already written where this can be done. You can also try to publish in pedagogical periodicals in your field.
  3. If possible, mentor a young teacher, become a member of the jury of a competition, or use modern teaching and educational technologies in your work.

This point is relevant for the criterion where the results of children’s participation in competitions are summed up, as well as for advanced training in graduate school. In other cases, as noted above, you can score 0 points or from 2 to 5 points.

So, for example, if we take such a criterion as the level of ICT maturity of a teacher, then he receives 0 points if he does not own ICT and is not used in his work, 2 points - if he uses ICT to prepare for classes and maintain documentation, 3 points - the same as in the previous paragraph + use of ICT for generalization, 4 points - use, among other things, in analytical and methodological work, as well as the availability of CPD courses, 5 points - participation in Internet communities or having your own blog (site).

Criteria in accordance with Federal State Educational Standards

I offer you a list of criteria, i.e. what exactly needs to be prepared for certification, I will focus on the most important points on which your overall result will depend:

  1. You must have an original educational program, which would preferably be approved at least at the municipal level, or at the regional level, which is even better. The presence of an adapted educational program for pupils with disabilities is welcomed and rewarded with additional points, and if it is implemented from 1 to 3 years, then the points increase for each year.
  2. Your students must participate in various competitions, festivals, exhibitions, tournaments and competitions. Points are given for victories and prizes, as well as for participation, depending on the status of the event. The higher the status, the higher the scores. An additional coefficient is applied for prize places.
  3. Having at least 5 years of work experience in a team with the title “Exemplary Children's Team” allows you to receive an additional 4 points.
  4. As for advanced training, courses lasting 16 hours or more give you 3 points (this also includes the webinars I recommend, the hours of which are summed up), for courses of 48 hours or more - 4 points, and specialized courses above 108 hours - 5 points.
  5. The use of modern educational technologies and methods is also very important. When using individual elements, depending on the level, you get 2 or 3 points, using in the system and applying effectively - 4 points, if you have your own system of techniques and methods - 5 points.
  6. The presence of a holistic generalized experience and its generalization at the institutional level gives 2 points, at the municipal level - 3 points, at the regional level - 4 points, at the All-Russian level - 5 points. I think that each of you has your own achievements, even with little work experience. All that remains is to properly prepare and protect it, or conduct a master class, open lesson, etc.
  7. The publication of teaching materials, both in online resources and in printed publications, is very important, but I have already spoken about this above and will not repeat it.
  8. The teacher's social activities, including trade union and parliamentary activities, are also rewarded with points.
  9. Gratitude, diplomas, certificates awarded to the teacher for professional achievements during the inter-certification period are also taken into account.
  10. A teacher’s participation in competitions of professional skills, original programs, and methodological developments are assessed depending on the level of the competition.
  11. An additional 20 points can be obtained for having an academic degree or academic title in the field of work, as well as for having state awards, honorary titles of the USSR, the Russian Federation or former republics of the USSR.

It is expected that already in 2017, educators, teachers and educators will undergo the certification process somewhat differently, and new rules and regulations will be introduced. And it’s not a fact that they will be simpler or lighter than the existing option. Therefore, if you have the opportunity and desire, do not delay certification. Even if you have the first category, and 2 years have already passed since you received it, it is quite possible to try yourself for the highest category, and not wait another 3 years.


In 2017, mandatory certification awaits everyone who passed it 5 years ago, as well as those who prematurely deign to improve it. The employer does not have the right to involve the following employees in recertification (only at their request):

  • pregnant women;
  • teachers who have a qualification category of less than 5 years;

In my opinion, most teachers choose the correspondence form of certification. With this form, the teacher draws up an analytical report and a self-assessment sheet. In the analytical report - he fully analyzes his activities, describes the results, his goals and teaching methods, etc.

Filling out the professional competence self-assessment sheet involves filling out a template table with various criteria. The certification commission assigns a certain number of points to the values ​​of these criteria, which are summed up. And it is this sum of points that allows the commission to make a decision on the suitability of a teacher for one or another qualification category.

What are the advantages of the modern certification method? I see the advantages in the correspondence method. The teacher fills out the relevant documents without interruption from work and sends them to the certification commission. Most often, if there are errors in the documentation or an insufficient number of points, the papers will be returned for revision; no one will immediately record an unsuccessful attempt. After all, if the commission considers that the teacher does not correspond to the declared category, then the next time you can re-certify no earlier than in two years.

In the face-to-face method, the teacher also draws up a self-assessment sheet, but does not produce an analytical report, but makes a presentation before the commission. If during the course of the report the commission members have questions, they ask them and ultimately come to a decision: does the teacher meet the category or not.

How many points are needed for the first and highest categories?

The following threshold score values ​​have been established for NGO teachers:

  • over 96 points – first qualification category;
  • over 120 points – the highest category.

Is it easy to get the required number of points?

It is quite difficult to score the required number of points. Let me give you a few specific examples.

The criterion is “completing advanced training or retraining courses in information technology (within 5 years).” Points: have a certificate - 1 point, certificate or diploma - 2 points.

See the inconsistency? The certificate is equivalent to a diploma. The computer science teacher at our educational institution wanted to attach a higher education diploma for certification according to this criterion, but they said it was impossible, because the diploma was received more than five years ago. What do you need? Certificate or certificate! A person teaches computer science and is required to take courses in information technology. In other words, she studied at a university for five years and this is not suitable for certification, but she will take courses in 30 hours and receive one point...

I would also like to say something about certificates and diplomas for various merits. 3 points are awarded for a certificate at the regional level, and 4 points for winning a competition at the regional level.

But the problem is that if a teacher participated in several different competitions in one academic year and won prizes, then only one certificate will be counted towards certification.

Win at least ten times a year, only one victory will be counted. This results in the most optimal algorithm for receiving awards - one per year. Simply participating in professional skills competitions does not count anywhere!

For example, under my leadership, two students took prizes in one competition. Only one certificate was counted. Of course, the points for preparing the winner of the competition are more decent - 5 points, but I could have gotten 10.

Where can I get points?

You can score more points in the Productivity section. For the last three years, scores are assigned separately for each year. If the average mark in the subject corresponds to the regional indicator - 3 points, if higher - 6 points. If your students over the last three years had an average mark higher than the regional one, then you will be awarded 18 points at once.

And here, it seems to me, every teacher strives to exceed the regional average. Accordingly, the indicator itself is becoming higher and higher every year...

WHAT HAPPENED?

As you know, there is mandatory and voluntary certification. The first task is to confirm the teacher’s suitability for the position he occupies. The second occurs when it comes to raising a qualification category. According to the rules in force earlier, if a teacher wanted to increase his salary, he, on his own initiative, submitted an application requesting the assignment of one of the categories - the highest, first or second. This was done by the management of the child care institution or the educational management body. Later, the second category was abolished as such. Certification began to be managed by educational authorities at the level of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation. The main thing: this procedure is now mandatory. Once every five years, absolutely all teachers, regardless of their work experience, regardless of their own desire, must take it to confirm their suitability for the position they occupy.

WHO NEEDS CATEGORY

Certification of a kindergarten teacher for the first category (or the highest) is optional. Those who want to receive it have the right to submit an application. Its purpose is for them to be certified. That is, they established compliance of the professional level with the requirements of the qualification categories. Any of them is assigned for a period of 5 years, then requires renewal in a similar manner. If the teacher’s qualification is not confirmed in a timely manner, it is automatically reduced. What then? A former first-category employee will have to reapply for certification (to have it restored). What if he doesn’t do this? In this case, among others, be certified to confirm compliance. Those who have lost the highest level will have to “go through” everything again. First, you will need certification of a teacher for category 1. And no earlier than after two years he will have the right to pass to the highest level. Categories received before the specified date (01/1/2011) are valid until the end of the assignment period. But the old position - after 20 years of teaching experience, the second category remains forever - has now been abolished. These educators will also have to confirm their professional suitability every five years.

WHAT IS CERTIFICATION?

Let's consider both of its types - mandatory and voluntary. The first, as already mentioned, must take place once every five years. 3.Who is certified. All teachers of educational organizations carrying out educational activities are certified, including part-time workers, as well as employees who combine positions along with work in the same organization, determined by the employment contract. 4. Who is exempt from certification. The approved Procedure does not apply to teaching staff. The following teaching staff do not undergo certification to confirm compliance with the position held: a) teaching staff with qualification categories; b) who have worked in their position for less than two years in the organization in which the certification is carried out; c) pregnant women ;d) women on maternity leave. Their certification is possible no earlier than two years after leaving the specified leave; e) persons on parental leave until the child reaches the age of three years.   • in relation to teaching staff of organizations under the jurisdiction of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, teaching staff of municipal and private organizations - by certification commissions formed by authorized government bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Certification of teaching staff is carried out on the basis of their applications submitted directly to the certification commission, or sent by teaching staff to the certification commission by mail with a return receipt or notification in the form of an electronic document using public information and telecommunication networks, including the " Internet. It has been established that applications for certification for the assignment of a qualification category are submitted by teaching staff, regardless of the duration of their work in the organization, including while on parental leave. The expiration of the highest qualification category does not limit the right of a teaching worker to subsequently apply to the certification commission for certification in order to establish the highest qualification category for the same position. Teachers who are refused to establish a qualification category during certification shall, at their request, apply to the certification commission with an application for certification for the same qualification category no earlier than one year from the date the certification commission makes the corresponding decision.
