Materialists will say that if you have money, you can easily realize all your dreams and achieve your goals. For example, start traveling around the world. Buy a house. Learn languages. Therefore, first you need to fulfill your financial goals - find a new job, build your own business, and the like.

For information: who are Materialists and Idealists. Materialists believe that matter is primary and gave rise to consciousness. Idealists, on the contrary, believe that consciousness is primary and it created matter. This contradiction is called by many the main question of philosophy.

But my grandmother always told me (without knowing it, she was an Idealist) that if God is in first place, then everything else will follow and be in its place. She said: “You don’t have to wait for financial well-being to have a child. Because if God gives a child, he will also give for the child!”

Using logic, prudence, and pragmatism, it is difficult to understand this grandmother’s principle and even more difficult to apply it in life. Because it is difficult, impossible to explain it from a scientific, materialistic point of view.

But sayings and proverbs (I call them the quintessence of the centuries-old experience of our ancestors) seem to be trying to convey to us the knowledge and wisdom of previous generations.

This wisdom is based not on logic and pragmatism, but on observations of the connection between actions and events, both in the life of one person and entire generations:

  • Man proposes, but God disposes (Russian proverb)
  • Easy come easy go (English proverb “What is easily gained is easily lost”)
  • What happens happens at the right time (Chinese proverb “Accidents are not accidental”)

The list of proverbs from different nations can be continued indefinitely. But how can even these three proverbs of different nations be explained from the point of view of logic and materialism?

Based on these considerations and being an idealist, I compiled goals for myself in the following sequence: Spiritual improvement -> Personal growth and relationships -> Physical health -> Financial goals.

Spiritual improvement:

1. Don’t judge, watch your thoughts

2. Conquer your talkativeness, listen to others

3. Charity: transfer money monthly to those in need (orphanage, children's hospital, elderly neighbors)

4. Complete the house for parents, help parents

5. Help children until they get back on their feet

6. Do not interfere in other people's affairs unless they ask for advice.

7. Give alms to those asking for alms - do not pass by

8. Do not retell other people’s sins (Boorish sin)

9. Go to Temple for Sunday services at least 2 times a month

10. Do not store, but give unnecessary but good things to those in need

11. Forgive offenses

12. Fast not only during Lent, but also on Wednesdays and Fridays

13. Visit Jerusalem for Easter

Personal growth and relationships:

16. Get rid of your laziness, stop putting things off

18. Take your time, live in a slow-life style, leaving time for communication with your family, contemplation, reading and your hobbies

20. Learn to cook deliciously for family and friends, go to master classes

21. Learn to grow herbs, vegetables, fruits and flowers in your garden

22. Go to Latin American dancing with your husband

23. Learn to take professional photos

24. Improve English - watch movies and read books

You can, of course, write all your goals in any order. Actually, this is how they should be written. I divided them into 4 groups to make it clear that in life we ​​need to maintain a balance between goals for Business and Finance, Relationships, Health, and Spirituality. In general, I always write down all my tasks, goals, dreams in a row. Below in section 4 “How to make a list of your goals?” I will tell you about this in detail.

I gave my goals as an example only. They are different for everyone and change over time. For example, parenting goals are not on my list. This is because they have already been completed - our children have grown up and live independently.

4. How to make a list of your goals? 50 goals in a person's life list in the present tense

Working in large banks, on large IT projects, I took many interesting trainings on psychology, motivation, stress management, time management, emotional intelligence, personal growth. At these trainings we were taught production techniques goals and intermediate tasks to achieve them.

But I especially liked this simple and effective technique:
  • You need to mentally “turn off your consciousness” and, without hesitation, start writing by hand on a blank sheet of paper all your desires, goals, tasks - large and small.
  • You need to write as much as possible, the main thing is to “don’t turn on your brain” and don’t stop.
  • Write also “today’s” problems, for example, “so that my son passes his test” or “take out the trash from the garage” or “buy a live Christmas tree in a pot for the New Year.” And global ones, for example, “so that children choose professions they like”, “so that they successfully graduate from universities.”
  • Then break down your goals into short-term, medium-term and long-term. Also highlight the actual goals and what can be called tasks to achieve these goals.

By the way, I often came across this idea in the books of successful people, but did not attach any importance to it. They all say that it is important to write down desires and goals and this helps in some incomprehensible way to fulfill them.

5. How to achieve goals, slowly and to the delight of yourself and your loved ones?

We know that everyone is different. They have different psychotypes, abilities, charisma, efficiency, intuition. That's why everyone lives, creates, realize their dreams and goals in DIFFERENT WAYS, based on their abilities and character.

Let's look at a small example. I will now describe the “portrait” of my successful friend:

  • He is an optimist, this helps him a lot in his business.
  • He has good abilities, but he is lazy.
  • At some moments, when he needs to get together and do something important, laziness recedes and he becomes assertive and purposeful.
  • He is also a very spontaneous person. If he gets excited about an idea, he immediately implements it without thinking. Because of this, there are often losses, but in general the job is done quickly.
  • He often relies on intuition and if something “doesn’t go well,” he easily puts it aside, knowing that in “due time” it will be done easily.
  • He does many things absolutely selflessly, helping people.

Now you can roughly imagine (based on this characteristic) how my friend achieves his goals: sometimes lazily, sometimes impulsively, sometimes assertively and purposefully, sometimes relying on intuition. But he never goes against his nature, character, his moral principles. And this is the secret of his success.

Do you understand what I'm getting at? I want to say that we are all different and what you definitely shouldn’t do when achieving your goals is don’t break yourself. There is no need to drive yourself into a state of stress, no need to reproach yourself for being sluggish. And never go against the dictates of your heart and do something you don’t like just because everyone has such a goal on their list.

For example, I don’t like to exercise in the gym. Let everyone go, but I won’t, because I tried it several times and was convinced that it didn’t bring me pleasure, and therefore no benefit.

Don’t listen to anyone who says that you need to devote so much time to your goal each day, that you need to schedule everything by day and hour. In this case, you will turn into a slave to your ambitions. You need your goals in order to live interestingly, to love, to be a happy person, to do what you love.

Live slowly, enjoy life, give up rushing at home, at work and in relationships with all people. To this idea of ​​slow life Many progressive people from many countries have already come. And stop reproaching your children for their sluggishness the way your parents reproached you (I recommend an article on how to raise happy children and unleash their intellectual and creative potential:). Since we are talking about children, I also recommend that you read an article about progressive ones that will be in demand in 10 years or more.

Conclusion: In order to start living a more interesting life, without delay, sit comfortably now and write, without thinking, as many small and big things, goals, objectives and desires as possible.

And then, if the mood strikes, you can divide them into financial, personal and others. For big and small. But I will tell you that I always write down my life goals, desires and dreams in a row. And I divided them today for the first time just for this article, so that it becomes clear what the goals are.

My goals for 2015 (with comments on progress)

These goals were first formulated in January 2015, when I had just embarked on the path of natural healing. and when, in fact, I started this blog. Then, over time and due to significant improvements in health, the goals were rethought. A lot has changed over time! My life is changing and I am changing: I am getting healthier, looking younger, leading an active lifestyle, enjoying my first sporting successes. 🙂

  1. Learn a second foreign language – Hebrew (at a basic level). Comment from 04/27/2015: the process is going well, read about it in. Comment from 07/02/2015: I recently went to ulpan (that’s the name of my language school). Comment from 01/02/2016: the process is progressing successfully, having completed the first grade of ulpan (called “alef”), my husband and I skipped a grade and in the new semester we are already studying in the third grade (in “gimel”).
  2. Improve your English level by one level. Comment from 07/02/2015: I was recently incredibly lucky; new neighbors moved into the neighboring house - Ben and Kat from London! Very friendly and open guys. So, daily speaking training was added to my regular classes. Hooray!!! Comment from 01/02/2016: completed, although there are difficulties associated with the simultaneous development of two languages. I notice that progress in one language always causes a slight rollback in another language. There is progress (and noticeable), but I would still like a faster pace. Kat and Ben graduated from their program and moved to Tel Aviv. Now we communicate less often. But I speak English a lot at work and continue to read English-language literature (according to Ilya Frank’s method).
  3. Master yogic practices (at a basic level). Comment from 07/02/2015: progress is very slow, but there are progress. Comment from 01/02/2016: done! For almost six months now I have been diligently and happily doing yoga twice a week with a teacher.
  4. Move to a new house (summer). Comment from 06/12/2015: done! On 06/09/2015 we moved to live on the Mediterranean Sea (to Israel under the “First Home in the Motherland” program). I wrote a little about this.
  5. Starting in summer, swim daily in the outdoor pool at any time of the year. Comment from 07/02/2015: I swim almost every day. About 3-4 times a week. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work out every day. Big load. Comment from 01/02/2016: I would like to write “done”, but on October 1 the pool was closed (until May), so swimming in my life continues to be seasonal. 🙂
  6. Run 5 km as part of the Kyiv race “Run under the chestnuts” (May). Comment from 04/27/2015: yesterday at the Kyiv half marathon! Comment from 06/02/2015: yesterday, as planned, I ran 5 km on “ “.
  7. Run 10 km as part of the “White Nights” marathon in St. Petersburg (June) or, if you can’t come, then another similar competition. Comment from 07/02/2015: It was not possible to come to St. Petersburg, since at that time we moved to Israel and were just starting to get comfortable. But here I made friends with athletes and started participating in local races. So 10 km from me has not disappeared, only the geography has changed. 🙂 Comment from 01/02/2016: not completed, so far my maximum distance is 7 km. But it’s not bad either, right? 🙂
  8. Get your husband to... Comment from 07/02/2015: despite all the efforts, the result so far is the most meager. I will continue to fight. Comment from 01/02/2016: unfortunately, “things are still there”...
  9. The new goal (set on July 2, 2015) is to learn to swim more or less professionally (change the “beach” style to a sports one). Comment from 01/02/2016: !
  10. A new goal (set on July 2, 2015) is to learn to play tennis. Comment from 01/02/2016: not fulfilled. I took several tennis lessons, learned to serve and receive the ball well, but I don’t have enough speed for this sport. I gave up this goal and am focusing on yoga and running.
  11. The new goal (set on July 2, 2015) is to correct posture (get rid of the stoop that has arisen over previous decades). Comment from 01/02/2016: I’m working on this, but still, as they say, work and work!

In the “Back to Health” blog area:

  1. Write 2-3 articles per week. Thus, in view of the fact that the blog was born in the last days of January 2015, during the 11 months of its existence, a minimum of 96 articles should be published by the end of December 2015, the desired maximum is 144 articles. Comment from 07/02/2015: due to moving to Israel and increasing activity in the direction of a healthy lifestyle, there is very little time to sit at the computer. Now I manage to write one, maximum two, articles a week. I haven't given up on my goal yet. Maybe I'll catch up in the future. Comment from 01/02/2016: at the end of 2015, the blog contains 67 published articles and 5 pages. This is significantly less than planned, however, and my load is several times higher than what it was at the time of creating the blog. I rate my work as good. I'm great! 🙂
  2. Achieve 100 people per day. Comment from 05/03/2015: the goal has almost been achieved, now the attendance is 80-120 people per day. I change the goal to 200 people per day. Comment from 07/02/2015: due to the events listed above in paragraph 2, attendance has dropped significantly and is now at the level of 30-40 people per day. True, this is “honest” attendance, not fueled in any way by me on social networks, etc. Comment from 01/02/2016: at the end of 2015, the average attendance was 100 people per day. All only due to the uniqueness of the content and due to regular readers (thank you, my loved ones!). Actually, the goal in its original formulation has been achieved.
