The manual is written in accordance with the Model Program for Practical Grammar of the German Language. It contains a complete list of rules on the topics “Noun”, “Nominal forms of the verb”, “Imperative mood” and “Temporal forms of the verb in the indicative mood of the active and passive voices”, questions for self-control of mastering the rules, language and speech exercises, as well as tests for self-monitoring of students’ mastery of each grammatical topic. The distribution of grammatical material is lesson-by-lesson.

For 2nd year students (I semester) of the German language department of a linguistic university, as well as for lyceums, colleges and independent study of practical German grammar.

Preface

The manual is compiled in accordance with the Standard Program for Practical Grammar of the German Language and is intended for 2nd year students of the Faculty of German Language at a linguistic university, as well as lyceums and colleges, and for independent study of practical grammar of the German language. It includes everything grammar topics which are studied in the 1st semester in the 2nd year of the Faculty of German at Moscow State Linguistic University: noun (classification, grammatical gender, declension, plural formation, grammatical homonyms) and verb (classification, verbs with double forms, nominal forms of the verb and tense forms of the verb in the indicative active and passive voices, imperative mood). The purpose of the manual is for students to master the rules, develop skills and abilities to use grammatical phenomena in the main types of speech activity on the named topic.

The manual contains a complete list of rules necessary for updating grammatical phenomena in speech. The self-control questions that follow the normative material are intended to help the student check the degree of his assimilation of this material, compare the functioning of grammatical phenomena of similar meaning in the language system, and draw the necessary conclusions. Lesson-by-lesson distribution of material contributes to a more thorough study of grammatical phenomena, allows the teacher to strictly control students’ assimilation of grammatical material in each lesson, and the system of exercises makes it possible to reach the level of using grammatical phenomena of each topic in unprepared speech.

The manual provides close connection with the studied lexical material, pedagogization of the educational process, continuity in the teaching of practical grammar, the foundations are laid for students to successfully master theoretical courses in the German language. The exercises proposed in the manual stimulate the mental activity of students and are intended both for performance in the classroom under the guidance of a teacher, and for independent work. The final stage of working on a grammar topic is a self-control test.

Klassen von substantiven

Im Deutschen besitzt das Substantiv die Kategorien des Geschlechts, des Kasus, der Zahl, der Bestimmtheit/Unbestimmtheit. Hinsichtlich der Kategorie der Zahl zerfallen alle Substantive in zwei Gruppen: Bezeichnungen von zählbaren Begriffen ( der Baum, das Kind u.a.) und Bezeichnungen von unzählbaren Begriffen ( das Gemüse, der Lärm u.a.). Man unterscheidet Bezeichnungen für Lebewesen und Bezeichnungen für Nichtlebewesen. Es gibt Bezeichnungen für konkrete Begriffe (Konkreta; Sg. das Konkretum) und Bezeichnungen für abstrakte Begriffe (Abstrakta; Sg. das Abstraktum) z.B.: die Freude, die Idee, die Vernunft u.a.). Die Konkreta werden eingeteilt in: Eigennamen (Personennamen, geographische Namen, Namen von Schiffen, Zügen, Hotels, Kinos u.a.) und Gattungsnamen. Die Gattungsnamen zerfallen in: Individualnamen ( die Kuh, der Stuhl u.a.) und Unika (Sg. das Unikum: die Erde, der Mond, die Sonne u.a.).

Fragen zur Selbstkontrolle: 1. Wie viele und welche Kategorien besitzt das Substantiv im Deutschen? Und im Russischen? 2 . Zu welchen Begriffen (zählbaren oder unzählbaren) gehören folgende Substantive: der Vogel, der Mond, das Obst, der Tisch? 3 . In welche Gruppen werden die Konkreta eingeteilt? 4. Welche Substantive gehören zu den Eigennamen? 5 . In welche Gruppen zerfallen die Gattungsnamen?

Description: This book is the most complete reference guide on the grammar of the German language, in which the main features of its grammatical structure presented in a consistent, systematic presentation. Each grammatical phenomenon is illustrated by a significant number of examples belonging to different styles speech, including those borrowed from everyday life, as well as business communication. Throughout the book, a consistent comparison of the phenomena of German grammar with their functional correspondences in the Russian language is carried out, which greatly facilitates the process of mastering a living, natural and grammatically correct German language for students.

The manual consists of two main sections: “Morphology” and “Syntax”, and five appendices, including excerpts from the New Rules of German Orthography, which should come into force on August 1, 1998.

The book is written in Russian and is intended to help both students of the German language and teachers of the German language. It can be used as a main teaching aid on German grammar in any classroom, including school, as well as when studying the language independently. How a reference guide "Grammar" can be useful for school teachers, course instructors, and students philological faculties and everyone who loves and wants to learn German. The textbook may be of some interest as a comparative grammar for students of Russian studies whose native language is German.

What is the main purpose of the site

The main goal of the project is to improve the scientific and educational level of people interested in linguistics and studying various languages.

Abstract (description)

This book is the most complete reference guide on the grammar of the German language, in which the main features of its grammatical structure are presented in a consistent, systematic presentation. Each grammatical phenomenon is illustrated by a significant number of examples belonging to various styles of speech, including those borrowed from everyday everyday as well as business communication. Throughout the book, a consistent comparison of the phenomena of German grammar with their functional correspondences in the Russian language is carried out, which greatly facilitates the process of mastering a living, natural and grammatically correct German language for students.

The manual consists of two main sections: “Morphology” and “Syntax”, and five appendices, including excerpts from the New Rules of German Orthography, which should come into force on August 1, 1998.

The book is written in Russian and is intended to help both students of the German language and teachers of the German language. It can be used as the main teaching aid on German grammar in any classroom, including school, as well as for self-study of the language. As a reference guide, "Grammar" can be useful to school teachers, course instructors, students of philological faculties and anyone who loves and wants to learn the German language. The textbook may be of some interest as a comparative grammar for students of Russian studies whose native language is German.
