TPU is one of the large advanced training centers Russia, the only university in the Asian part of Russia included in the top five technical universities countries . NTB is one of the leading structural divisions university. It was opened at the same time as classes began in 1900. Yurga Technological Institute (branch)[ | ]
Tomsk Polytechnic University has a long, good tradition of cooperation with Kuzbass, providing various industries region with highly qualified specialists. Yurga Technological Institute (branch) of Tomsk Polytechnic University was created as a result of a number of transformations: educational and consulting center (1957), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (1987), TPU branch in Yurga (1993), UTI TPU (2003).
The main goal of YUTI TPU is to provide the engineering complex of Kuzbass with highly qualified engineering personnel with strong practical training. This problem has always been solved using base enterprise- Yurginsky Machine-Building Plant, which, having changed its owner in 2006, is solving, together with the institute, the task of training practice-oriented specialists in machine-building production.
Students are trained in 10 departments of the institute, 8 of which are graduating departments.
More than 1,500 students study at the institute, full-time, part-time and part-time correspondence forms. The Institute has 8 educational and laboratory buildings, which house over 70 laboratories equipped modern equipment and technical training facilities.
