New highways and interchanges in the Moscow region: which highways will they relieve congestion. Which road junctions will open in the capital this year?

From Brateev to Chertanovo in a straight line, or a sudden chord in the south of Moscow August 9th, 2017

Great news for motorists: in the coming weeks (and perhaps even days) the Podolsk cadets overpass under construction will open - Elevatornaya street.

photo from Roads.ru

It would seem that this is just a combination of eastern and western parts Biryulyovo district. But the transport effect is much more serious: 5 more districts will be connected in a straight line: Brateevo, Zyablikovo, Orekhovo-Borisovo North, Tsaritsyno and Chertanovo Central.

In fact, a small local chord will be formed along which it will be possible to drive 13 km across the entire Southern District from Besedinskoye Highway to Chertanovskaya Street, without leaving Kashirskoye and Varshavskoye Highways. As a result, all radial highways in the south of Moscow, as well as the Moscow Ring Road and Kolomensky Passage, will be relieved of congestion. And all this about a year before the introduction of the also necessary and much more well-known Southern Rockada!

“What does the data center have to do with it, because the overpass is being built by the construction department”- some will say. The fact is that with the construction of the overpass, only a full-fledged route from Chertanovo to Brateevo was created, something like this:

And in reverse side Until recently, it would have been possible to drive only through a puncture under the railway tracks near the Tsaritsyno metro station and Kaspiyskaya street. But both areas are overloaded, especially in the evenings.

To straighten the route and unload " bottle necks“, as part of the “Marking-2017” program (and according to the project-plan of Probok.net), we returned the left turn from 6th Radial Street to Lipetskaya Street towards the region, which was canceled about 15 years ago. In order for more cars to pass during the left turn phase, they also re-marked the 6th Radial: instead of the 1st lane, there are two leading to the intersection.

To avoid affecting traffic on Lipetskaya Street, the left turn from the 6th radial was organized during the pedestrian crossing phase across Lipetskaya, for which purpose the pedestrian crossing was moved to the other side.

We also had to cancel the left turn onto 6th Radialnaya, but to carry out this maneuver we have to make a short rerun, about 800 meters with a U-turn under the overpass. The left lane from the pocket now leads straight.

The result exceeded expectations. The new connection began to fill with traffic literally from the day the left turn opened on July 21; a week later, on July 28, Yandex began to build a route through the new turn. Now in the evenings, between 20 and 25 cars turn left in each phase, which equates to about 600-750 cars per hour! At the same time, there is still some reserve of capacity even with the current cycle: up to 30 cars can leave in phase 1, i.e. 800 cars per hour.

20 cars arrived from the intersection starting...

But after 24 seconds the last of them pass the intersection.

Lipetskaya and Kaspiyskaya also went faster. This happened not only because 600-750 cars per hour left these streets and are now turning from 6th Radialnaya, but also because now before the intersection with 6th Radialnaya on Lipetskaya you can drive straight through 3 lanes : The former left turn pocket now works for straight ahead.

Thus, we carried out fine-tuning work an important junction not far from the future overpass, opening a new direction in advance, expanding the old one and preventing a new one bottleneck. And all this with just markings, signs and setting up traffic lights with a total cost of several hundred thousand rubles (at the price of the overpass itself Podolsk Cadets– Elevatornaya Street costs several billion rubles!) I believe that we can be proud of the results of changing the traffic pattern at this intersection.

We are looking forward to the opening of the overpass, which will give impetus to the further development of a new chord route. And then the long-awaited Southern Rockade is coming at the end of 2018.

As usual, thanks to the Highways State Budgetary Institution for the implementation of the markings, and to my colleagues at the Data Center for the signs and traffic lights.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin opened traffic on a new overpass on Varshavskoye Highway in the area of ul. Marshal Savitsky in Shcherbinka.

“This year, about 115 kilometers of roads, interchanges, tunnels, and overpasses will be reconstructed and built in Moscow. One of these large facilities is located here, in the Shcherbinka area. Shcherbinka is essentially cut by two highways, a railway and a road.”, - said S. Sobyanin.

The mayor also recalled that a railway overpass was opened here in 2017.

“Last year we launched a railway overpass, now we are launching an overpass through Varshavka, and in general, a number of facilities on the Varshavskoye Highway will be completed this year, which will certainly improve traffic along Varshavka.”, - noted the Mayor of Moscow S. Sobyanin.

A new overpass across the Varshavskoye Highway was built as part of the project for the reconstruction of this highway in the area from the designed passage No. 728 to the bypass road to Podolsk.

The new overpass will help eliminate congestion at the intersection Warsaw highway from st. Marshal Savitsky and 40 Let Oktyabrya Avenue. The length of the overpass is 606 m with two lanes. The length of entrances and exits on the ground is 440 m. Total 1 km 46 m. Required work The improvement of the area adjacent to the overpass is planned to be completed in the spring and summer.

Let us recall that construction of the overpass began in 2016, and was completed in March, that is, six months earlier than planned, which was done with the aim of quickly improving the transport situation in Shcherbinka.

Muscovites will finally wait until the reconstruction of all major outbound routes is completed. The builders still have three routes left to complete - Shchelkovskoe highway, Ryazansky and Volgogradsky prospects. In addition, they will update and Volokolamsk highway. An overpass will be built here across the lines of the Small Ring Railway.

The first stage of reconstruction will be completed on Kaluzhskoye Highway. The result will be a full-fledged 8 - 10-lane highway. She will become the main one transport chord New Moscow.

In the near future, builders will begin laying roads in new neighborhoods on site former factory named after Likhachev (ZIL).

This year we plan to open 23 overpasses, 3 tunnels, 2 overpasses and 2 bridges, as well as 15 pedestrian crossings, he said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Marat Khusnullin. - In the next three years, we will build a total of about 300 kilometers of roads, including the North-Western Expressway, sections of the North-East Expressway, and the Southern Road. 400 billion rubles will be allocated for this.

What will be launched in 2016

Intersection Kashirskoye Highway from MKAD

In the coming months, four overpasses will open here - exits from the highway to the Moscow Ring Road and back - to the region and the center. Side passages, acceleration and braking lanes will be built on the Moscow Ring Road. Along inside a tunnel will appear on the ring road. Near shopping center“Vegas” will have an overpass for pedestrians.

The “clover” interchange with constant traffic jams will be turned into a more convenient one, with separated traffic flows. As a result, getting to Domodedovo Airport will become easier. The interchange's capacity should increase by 25 - 30%.

The intersection of Leningradskoye Shosse and Panfilovsky Prospekt

By the middle of this year there will be an interchange at the 41st kilometer of Leningradka. It will become an additional exit from Zelenograd. Cars will be able to get from Leningradskoye Shosse to Panfilovsky Prospekt and Lyalovskoye Shosse faster. They will launch traffic-free traffic along the Leningradskoe Highway and traffic from Zelenograd towards the region. A tunnel more than 80 meters long will be dug under the highway. The Leningradka roadway will be expanded to four lanes in each direction. An underground passage will be built across the road. The former crossing under Panfilovsky Prospekt is being reconstructed.

The outcome is close

In 2016 at the intersection of streets People's Militia and Berzarina a Winchester-type tunnel will appear. The cars in it will go in different directions, not next to each other, but one above the other. This will be the first two-story underground road in the capital. The tunnel will become part of the North-Western Expressway, which will connect four districts of the capital - Western, North-Western, Northern and North-Eastern.

The two-story road will help remove traffic jams at the intersection of Narodnogo Opolcheniya and Berzarin streets. And the cars will drive 14 meters from the windows of the nearest apartments. If they were building a regular tunnel, it would be only six meters away.

The first two-story tunnel in the northwest

What else will they open?

In 2016

Southern section North-Western Expressway. Three overpasses will be built in the area of Ryabinovaya and General Dorokhov streets, and a tunnel, overpass and interchange will be built on Aminevskoye Highway;

✓ overpass on Lipetskaya Street;

✓ Volgogradsky Avenue to the border with the Moscow region. Two more overpasses are being built - at the intersection of Volgogradsky Ave. with Volzhsky Boulevard and on Lyublinskaya Street across the Kursk direction railway tracks. A tunnel will appear at the intersection of Lyublinskaya and Volgogradka.

In 2017

✓ Section of the North-Eastern Expressway with three

level interchange and overpass ramps to Tkatskaya and Shcherbakovskaya streets;

✓ interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with Profsoyuznaya street - with a tunnel, two regular overpasses and two overpasses - backups of the Moscow Ring Road - through Kaluga highway and Trade Union;

✓ section of the A101 Moscow - Maloyaroslavets - Roslavl highway with two-level interchanges in the area of the exit to the Kommunarka village and the Gazoprovod village, Sosenki village, at the intersection with Voskresensky highway;

✓ a section of the Southern Road with an interchange and an overpass at the intersection of Warsaw Highway and Balaklavsky Avenue.

In the Moscow region, large-scale work is underway to build new highways and interchanges, which should relieve the load on existing roads. Projects are implemented in all areas and have different time frames. What major road construction projects are underway in the region, what new transport facilities will change and what highways will be relieved, read the material on the portal website.

Central Ring Road

Source: Photobank of the Moscow region, Alexander Shchemlyaev

The construction of the Central Ring Road is called the largest and most ambitious project in the Moscow region. The total length of the Central Ring Road will be 525 km, the route is designed to relieve congestion on city highways, including Moscow ring. It will pass through the territory of the Moscow region and New Moscow, 50 km from the Moscow Ring Road.

Construction of the Central Ring Road began in 2014 - from the first launch complex. It is planned that it and the fifth launch complex will be opened in 2018. The remaining sections of the Central Ring Road will be commissioned later: the third and fourth - in 2019. But the last section - the second launch complex - is planned to be completed by the mid-2020s.

The new ring will bypass settlements, connecting only with the largest ones. The capacity of the Central Ring Road will be 70-80 thousand cars per day.

It is expected that the road will significantly free up Moscow outbound highways (those that extend into the Moscow region) and the Moscow Ring Road from the transit transportation of goods, and will reduce the cost of freight transportation and transportation costs. Due to the fact that there will be no intracity transport on the Central Ring Road, the speed of cars will also increase - 100-120 km/h versus the usual 20-30 km/h on the Moscow Ring Road. The Central Ring Road will create large international transport corridors in the Moscow region. For example, it will be possible to get from Nizhny Novgorod to London or Helsinki.

Weather observation stations will appear on the Central Ring Road and automated system traffic control, it will be equipped with rest stops for drivers and roadside services. Also on the route there will be 70-80 underground passages for pedestrians, and there will also be overground passages for animals.

Interchange in Krasnogorsk

Source: Construction of a two-level transport interchange at the intersection of Volokolamskoye and Ilinskoye highways in the city district began in 2016. The interchange includes an overpass in the direction Krasnogorsk - Mitino, a turnaround loop and an overpass on Ilyinskoye Highway, consisting of two parts - in the direction from Ilyinskoye Highway to the capital and back.

According to Governor Andrei Vorobyov, this site is currently one of the most problematic in the region. The speed of transport on it rarely exceeds 20 km/h. However, the situation will change very soon.

A multi-level interchange will connect the two parts of Krasnogorsk and untangle problematic knots. Under the overpass of the main traffic there will be an exit from Volokolamskoye to Ilyinskoye Shosse - from the direction of Moscow, and an exit from Ilyinskoye to Volokolamskoye Shosse - in the direction of the region. It is also planned that the new transport structure will make it easier to leave Krasnogorsk and Istrinsky district, will partially relieve the load from Novorizhskoe highway. Traffic on the overpass will be four-lane: two lanes in each direction. Total length The interchange will exceed nine kilometers, and its future capacity will be more than 100 thousand cars per day.

The project is divided into three launch complexes. Work on the first launch complex.

Interchanges on Gorkovskoye Highway

Source: Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the Moscow Region Reconstruction Gorkovskoe highway currently being carried out in three directions - the construction of interchanges 4 km from the Moscow Ring Road (adjacent to Obezdnoye Highway), 6 km (intersection with Sovetskaya street) and 7 km (junction of Leonovskoe highway). In 2017, it is planned to begin construction of the fourth interchange on the Eastern Highway.

Thanks to the reconstruction of the route, traffic jams from Moscow and Noginsk should disappear, since the overpasses will be through, without traffic lights. Upon completion of work, the transit overpasses will remain three lanes in each direction, and parallel two-lane roads for urban vehicles will be located on both sides of the overpasses. As a result, it will be removed most loads from the private sector, including from Saltykovka and Nikolsko-Arkhangelskoye, which now receives a large transit flow, avoiding traffic jams on Gorkovka.

And the fourth interchange will ensure transport accessibility of the Sacramento microdistrict. Currently, to get there from Moscow, drivers are forced to turn around in the Noginsk district, because the left turn from the highway to the microdistrict is closed.

Overpass across the railway in Dolgoprudny

Federal State Institution "Moscow Highway Administration - Nizhny Novgorod The Federal Road Agency" (FKU Uprdor "Moscow - N. Novgorod") commissioned one of three reconstruction projects in Balashikha near Moscow, which made it possible to significantly speed up and simplify traffic in the city: the usual traffic jam from Sovetskaya Street to Obezdnoye Highway was eliminated.

Two other overpasses at 21 km (at the intersection with Sovetskaya Street) and at 23 km (at the junction of Leonovskoye Highway) are scheduled to open for traffic on November 1.

Currently, according to the temporary organization scheme traffic in areas where road construction works are taking place, when driving from Moscow and to turn onto Obezdnoye Highway, motorists need to exit onto the alternate road, and, turning around in the space under the overpass, turn right. The temporary scheme of traffic organization takes into account the high intensity on in this direction and assumes that the turnaround road is the main one. Drivers following a side passage towards Moscow must give way to those making a U-turn.

A change in the traffic management scheme as part of the road reconstruction and construction of an interchange made it possible to eliminate the traffic light at the intersection with Obezdnoye Highway, which significantly increased the dynamics of traffic flows. The pedestrian crossing is located in the space under the overpass and is regulated by a pedestrian traffic light.

“The launch of traffic on all three overpasses will allow us to decouple transport hub at the entrance to the capital, and will also create favorable conditions as for intracity transport communication, and for the movement of transit flows from the region and regions to Moscow ( Gorky direction): positive changes will be felt not only by motorists of the Balashikha urban district, but also of the Noginsk, Orekhovo-Zuevsky districts, as well as the Pavlovsky Posad urban district,” reports the Rosavtodor website.

FKU "Management of the Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod Highway of the Federal Road Agency" is a government agency intended to carry out the functions operational management federal highways and artificial structures on them, secured to ensure safe and uninterrupted movement vehicles according to federal highways public use. Management is legal entity, endowed with property under the right of operational management, which is in federal ownership. The management has 1,402.3 kilometers of roads running through six regions Russian Federation. More than a third of them belong to roads of the first technical category. Basic transport artery is the M-7 Volga highway with an average traffic intensity of 86 thousand cars per day, namely M-7, due to shortest distance between Moscow and eastern regions, is considered the main road connecting European part Russia with Siberia and Far East. The Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod highway is integral part international transport corridor No. 2 connecting London - Paris - Berlin - Warsaw - Brest - Minsk - Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod - Yekaterinburg.
